Healing Opportunities

Healing Opportunities

I am offering resources for the community to participate in communal healing on both interpersonal and intrapersonal levels. Resources include but are not limited to writing prompts, yoga classes, MeetUp events, workout routines, and sensory therapy techniques.

Yoga Events & Sessions

Currently, I teach hot yoga at Hot8 Yoga Studios in the San Francisco financial district.  I am certified in hot power fusion, vinyasa, and yoga sculpt.  Fortunately for you, I teach four times per weekend so there are more than enough opportunities to join! My power vinyassa class is at 10:30 AM and my yoga sculpt class is at 12:15 PM. Click this link to join me for either of these classes on Saturdays and Sundays. The name I go by in these creative spaces is Goddess Dior aka Thee Sunkissed Goddess. I also hold weekly sessions on Friday and Saturday at San Pablo Park. Classes will be musicless to help us focus on our breath and deepen our connection to nature. Classes will start the week of July 8th. Please fill out the form below to join the classes and acquire more details on what to expect.

Why Yoga

I choose and commit to learning how to exist in my most authentic form rather than chase different images of perfection. The body is the vehicle for the spirit and hot yoga is the test of the strength of the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. Heat symbolizes the pressure to conform and my breath carries me through choosing to say ‘no’. Yoga is a practice of meditation that gives me space to find my true form.

A Glance at My Practice

As you practice with me, allow your breath to lead you through a dance of emotions: confusion, frustration, tranquility, and acceptance. Take time to understand your emotions. Settle into tension. Explore comfortable discomforts. Transform and transcend your energy to reawaken your chakras. Leave your ego at the door or sweat it out in the room. Throughout your journey, you will get to choose to react or respond. Whatever you choose, remember to breathe. When you start to feel overwhelmed, practice box breathing to activate your parasympathetic nervous system. This system is normally activated during digestion to calm your body, prevent inducing flight or fight mode, and conserve your energy for digestion. Using this breath serves as a gentle reminder to your body that you are safe and you can refocus your energy on being present. Click this link to read more about box breathing.
